If you want to read more or dive deeper into the conversation, the article is linked for you. I hope it brings insight, comfort, or even a small moment of connection. ❤️Button

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to make a positive impact on the world around me. That has always been the core of who I am. My path has not been simple, but it has shaped how I show up today as a public speaker, advocate, nonprofit cofounder, podcaster, and author who believes deeply in what is possible 😊. I have learned how to move through barriers, live with intention, and create a life that feels like my own. The most meaningful part of my success is knowing that the work I do reaches people who need to feel seen, supported, and capable of creating a life that matches their potential. ❤️Button

Here are 5 things I hope help people understand life with physical limitations a little better: → We live life the same way you do. → Laugh with me, not at me. → Give us a chance. → We see the world through a unique lens. → Being underestimated is the hardest part. The more we talk about this, the easier it becomes to see each other fully.Button

People with disabilities live, love, work, parent, and dream just like anyone else. Our routines might look different, but our lives are full, real, and meaningful. When you begin to see that, the way you understand disability shifts in a powerful way. ❤️🔥 If you are looking for a friendly space to talk things through, my consultations are always open to you. Living with physical limitations means navigating the world in a different way. That also means seeing life through a unique lens. Our challenges shape us, but they don’t define us. We keep showing up and living fully, even when it’s hard. 🎙️ I go deeper into this topic on my podcast, “Be Determined,” available on Apple Podcasts. You can listen to it through the link in my bio.Button

Today’s Molly-ism: “Without faith in yourself, you don’t have much.” I remind myself of this all the time. Belief is where everything begins. You don’t have to feel confident every day, but you do have to give yourself a chance. Keep choosing yourself, even in the small ways. That’s where real growth starts. 💙Button

started my podcast to create space for real conversations about disability, independence, and growth. After my life changed in 2016, I realized how powerful it is to share stories that remind us we are not alone in navigating change. This podcast is my way of turning experience into empowerment. It is about finding purpose in the hard moments, celebrating resilience, and helping others see that life can still be full, connected, and meaningful, no matter what it looks like. 🎙️ Join me on “Be Determined” to hear real stories about purpose, strength, and self-determination. After 2016, life looked very different. Everything felt harder, and asking for help became part of my daily reality. At first, that was difficult to accept. But learning to be okay with help was the first step toward freedom. It taught me that my disability does not define what I can or cannot build. It reminded me that I can still create a full, meaningful life, one shaped by purpose, connection, and resilience. 🎙️ Find more of my story and the experiences that shaped me on “Be Determined,” available on Apple Podcasts and linked in my bio.Button

Before 2016, I lived independently and stayed constantly connected with my family. When I lost my ability to walk, that connection changed in ways I never expected. What once felt effortless now required intention, grace, and a new kind of strength. Through time, I learned that independence isn’t just about what you can do on your own. It’s about finding new ways to stay connected, to love fully, and to continue showing up for the people who matter most. This time of year is full of decisions, from what to cook to where to go and how to celebrate. It’s the perfect chance to invite your teen with a disability into the decision-making process. Ask what dish they’d like to help with. Let them choose what time to start getting ready. Give them a say in how the day unfolds. Each small choice builds trust, confidence, and self-determination. Those are the skills that will carry them forward long after the holidays are over. If you are ready for extra support on this journey, book a consultation and let’s create a plan that empowers your family.Button

Progress in business and life rarely comes in big leaps. Most of the time, it’s built through small, consistent steps, through growth, reflection, and resilience. In my work, I celebrate those small wins. They are the foundation of real change, both personally and professionally. Whether I’m leading a workshop, coaching a client, or building my business, I’ve learned that direction matters more than speed. Perfection isn’t the goal. Confidence, purpose, and self-belief are. Those are what move us forward, one step at a time. 🎙️ Hear more of my story and what shaped my work on my podcast, “Be Determined.” Listen on Apple Podcasts and linked in my bio.Button

Your role as a parent is always evolving. At first, you do everything for them. Then, slowly, you begin doing things with them. Eventually, you step back as they start doing things on their own. That shift can feel bittersweet, but it’s also a sign that your hard work is paying off. It means they are growing into the independent, capable person you’ve always believed they could become. Celebrate that growth. It’s not just their milestone. It’s yours too. Learn more about supporting your teen’s independence and celebrating your own growth. Growing up with a disability taught me resilience, creativity, and how to turn obstacles into opportunities. Words matter. The way you speak to your teen with a disability shapes the way they speak to themselves. When you show belief in their abilities, they begin to believe too. When you lead with patience and encouragement, they learn to offer the same kindness to themselves. Here are a few powerful phrases you can start using: “I trust you to figure this out.” “I see how hard you’re trying, and I’m proud of you.” “It’s okay to make mistakes. That’s how we learn.” “I believe you’re capable of more than you think.” Your voice is one of their greatest influences. Speak with belief and encouragement, and you’ll watch them grow into that belief too.Button

When I stopped seeing my disability as a barrier and started seeing it as a reality to navigate, everything changed. It didn’t limit me; it taught me how to live fully. 🎙️ I share more about my journey and the experiences that shaped me on “Be Determined.” Find it on Apple Podcasts or through the link in my bio.Button

Did you know I also host a podcast? 🎙 It’s where I sit down with students, families, and experts to talk about what it really means to live a self-determined life. You’ll hear: ✨ Honest stories of resilience ✨ Practical tips you can use right away ✨ A little humor (because you know I can’t help myself 😉) This podcast is one more way I want to remind our community: We are more than our challenges — we are creators of our own futures.Button

Helping your teen with a disability build confidence doesn’t have to be a big production; it can start with the little stuff. Try one of these this week: 1️⃣ Let them be the ones to order dinner. 2️⃣ Ask for their input when planning a weekend activity. 3️⃣ Encourage them to set one simple goal, and celebrate when they follow through. It’s amazing how small choices add up to big independence over time. 💛 Parents, which one do you think your teen would enjoy most?Button

If you hang around here, you’ll hear my little sayings… I call them Molly-isms. 😉 Here’s one that means a lot to me: ✨ Dream a life as BIG as you want, and let that be your mission. Because sometimes the very things that feel like limits can turn out to be our greatest superpowers. So remember, dreaming big is always the first step to living big. 💛Button

I’ve lived with a disability since birth. And here’s the thing: My disability is part of me, but it’s never defined me. The world gave me limits, but I chose to dream bigger. Every challenge became a step forward. That’s why I always say: ✨ It’s not what you overcome, it’s what you become. That’s the heart of my work, helping students and families see what’s possible, not just what’s “expected.”Button
