I think we forget that growth rarely looks pretty while it’s happening. We always picture the end result — a version of ourselves that is completely fulfilled and successful. But the small milestones we achieve along the way, the moments of progress and learning, and the blooming stage itself are all things we should celebrate, too.

Most seasons of our lives do not look picture-perfect. Some days feel productive, like everything is falling into place, while other days life can feel uncertain and overwhelming. Growth does not always feel clear while you are living through it, and people looking in from the outside may not fully understand it, but those small wins and uncertain moments are often the ones we should trust the most. Navigating through the weeds often just means we’re growing.

During seasons where life doesn’t go as planned, or when we’re not where we hoped to be, it can be easy to label those moments as failure and let them define us. But it’s important to remember that growth takes time, and every step in the right direction is still progress.

Gardens deal with weeds, storms, bugs, and changing seasons. People experience the same thing. Time and time again, people say growth is not linear, and many may feel behind at times, but it’s important to recognize the effort and progress that every small step represents.

Blooming doesn’t mean completely reinventing yourself. Sometimes it means learning to appreciate the version of yourself where your feet are planted, where you are now, and how you continue to navigate each season on your path toward your goals and dreams. You are allowed to learn, evolve, and change throughout different seasons, and it takes courage to work through the messy parts along the way.



Sometimes growth simply means keeping a promise to yourself and continuing to show up day by day, through every season, until one day you look back and realize every detour and every season led you exactly to where you were meant to be. You were on the right path all along.
